This Privacy Policy applies to the collection of information collected on the web site operated and controlled by Livingston County Catholic Charities (hereafter referred to as LCCC, we, us, our ).
BY USING LCCC’s SITE OR SUBMITTING YOUR INFORMATION TO US, YOU CONSENT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND TO OUR PROCESSING OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION FOR THE PURPOSES STATED BELOW. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SITE OR SUBMIT YOUR INFORMATION USING THE SITE.
I. Information We Collect – We collect personally identifiable information and non-personal, information (such as the pages on our Site that you have visited, the length of stay, etc.).
(A) Personally Identifiable Information
“Personally Identifiable Information” is information such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address. We may collect and store the personally identifiable information that you have provided to us. For example: When you request information through one of the email addresses provided on LCCC’s site, or contact us with a question, we may collect your name, address and email address in order to respond to that inquiry; or, if you request information on a particular service/program offered by LCCC, we may request that you provide this information in order for an LCCC representative to respond.
We may also collect your name, address, email address, telephone number, and payment information when you choose to make a donation or if you request to receive our newsletter.
The above list is examples of the personally identifiable information that may be collected by LCCC. Occasionally, we may collect personally identifiable information from you in other ways that are not described above. If you do not wish for LCCC to collect your personally identifiable information, please do not provide it to us. Please be aware, though, that if you do not provide us with your personally identifiable information, you may not be able to utilize the services you are requesting. In that case, you may call our offices directly to speak with a staff member for assistance.
It is your responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of the personally identifiable information that you submit to LCCC. Inaccurate information will affect the information you receive and our ability to contact you as described in this Privacy Policy.
(B) Non-Personally Identifiable Information
“Non-Personally Identifiable Information” can be technical information or it can be demographic information, such as your age or gender, etc. Non-personally identifiable information does NOT identify you personally. Some examples of the non-personally identifiable information that may be collected through our site and a description of how this information is used:
- IP Addresses and domain names. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you and may be used to analyze trends and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
- A cookie which may be used to collect information about your activity on our site.
II. Use and Disclosure of Personally Identifiable and Non-Personally Identifiable Information
LCCC may use, share and/or disclose your personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable information in the following instances:
(1) To provide a service or information, agency updates, newsletters, etc., which you requested.
(2) To unaffiliated third-party service providers, agents or independent contractors who help us maintain our site or provide other administrative services to us (including, but not limited to, maintaining and analyzing data, sending communications to our members on our behalf).
(3) To complete a donation or to provide you with any paid services/information. If you choose to make a donation, your information, such as your bank or credit card, may be collected from you in addition to your billing address and other information to fulfill your request depending on the pay method you select.
(4)To comply with the law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the requirements of law or comply with legal process served on us, protect and defend our rights or property or act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of our end users.
III. Opt-Out
LCCC does provide you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving notifications. If you do not want to receive any communication from us in the future, please send an e-mail Julie at Julie@livingstoncatholiccharities.org. We will process your request as soon as possible, however, please realize that in some circumstances you may receive a few more messages until the unsubscribe request is processed.
IV. Children Under the Age of 18
Neither Catholic Charities nor any of its services are designed or intended for children under the age of 18, without the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not collect personally identifiable information from any person we actually know is under the age of 18.
V. Links to Third Party Sites
This web site contains links to other third party web sites operated by companies that are not affiliated with LCCC. LCCC does not endorse and is not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. If you choose to link to one of these third party web sites, you should review the privacy policy posted on each web site to learn how that web site collects and uses your personally identifiable information.
VI. Security of Your Information
Please know that NO data transmitted over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, we do not warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you understand that any information that you transmit to us is done at your own risk.
LCCC takes all reasonable measures possible to ensure that your personally identifiable information remains as secure as reasonably possible. For instance, when making a donation through our site, PNC, our bank that maintains the link uses industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged.
VII. Changes to this Privacy Policy
LCCC reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Upon revision, we will also amend the date at the bottom of this policy and by placing notice on our home page of the web site.
Except as described in this Privacy Policy or at the time we request the information, we do not use, share or otherwise disclose your personally identifiable information to any third parties. Additionally, LCCC will not sell your personally identifiable information to third parties.
